Our Story

The journey of Holistic Food Empowerment began with a simple observation: most people feel disconnected from the food they eat. Grocery stores overflow with options, yet many home cooks feel confused about which ingredients to choose and how to prepare them in ways that matter. Traditional cooking education often either oversimplifies or overcomplicates the fundamentals.

We recognized that there was a genuine need for approachable, honest education about whole foods cooking. Not diet trends. Not miracle solutions. Mariya brings fifteen years of experience in food education and professional kitchen work. She studied nutrition and culinary arts in Sofia and Copenhagen, and is passionate about bridging the gap between scientific understanding and practical cooking skills. Outside the classroom, she leads workshops on seasonal eating and teaches beginner cooking classes at community centers across Bulgaria.

Dimitar Kostov

Content Strategist & Food Writer

Dimitar is a freelance food writer and researcher who specializes in making complex nutritional and agricultural information accessible to general audiences. He has contributed to several Bulgarian food and wellness magazines and maintains a popular newsletter on whole foods topics.
